I am normally very good at keeping on top of mud fever and mites etc but about a week ago I noticed that on either side of my boys legs along the bottom of them at the back he was damp and smelly with hair missing, the front of his legs are fine as are the front legs. I am a great believer in keeping him feathered but I have cut away where the bad bits are to 'air' them. I have stopped for the time being with the pig oil and sulphur but have used kerotex powder in stead. Every afternoon I have taken him down to the shore and paddled him hoping the salt water would help. The vet is coming on Monday to see a couple of horses so as it would have been a week since I noticed I will probably get her to have a look but would love some ideas.
