!

The PN is fairly straightforward, though there are plenty of trees you need to miss. I do wonder if they might have to take the main water out - PN just paddle into a lake, then walk along the edge and pop up a step out - but I wonder if the lake will be too full as it was quite deep last year. Then there is a water near the end which I think you jump over a roll-top, land on dry, then into the water within a stride or two, up a step, one stride to an upright.

Daughter did the PC open there a few weeks ago. The going was generally good/firm.

The water was very deep, a step in, turn right run along the lake shore and two steps out. It was so deep it was over daughters stirrups on her 14.2, he boots filled with water! Don't think that depth would be allowed BE though!

Thank you Tigers Eye & Thistle ! - The water is sounding scary - only just got him used to it I think it might freak him out if its really deep.
I have only heard nice things about the course lebt so dont worry!
Anyone else there?

I got in but think I will have to withdraw

SM and sarahs - honestly, the water isn't that hard at all, the step in at the lake was only for the Novice last year, and BE have strict rules about the depth anyway. If it is deep there's nothing stopping you just walking through very slowly! A few of the early fences are just round corners which can be a bit unnerving, but don't worry, just kick! I think 4 was a hedge with a small ditch in front, and five an owl hole, but the hole was plenty big enough, I don't think William realised there was a roof! The 1st 3 were all pretty small as far as I remember.

Tigers-eye.. so there isn't a step into water?? we don't have a problem going into water as such, but we do seem to have one going down a step in.. how about steps in general?? apart from the ones out of the water??

I seem to remember Bee said there were quite a lot of steps in the PC open course (Novice). Although it is gererally quite flat there are lots of little up and down bits.

She thinks that 7 of the jumps had at least 1 step (that is 7 efforts so some could be combinations)
