Hi all *waves*

Its been, well I think 8 months since my last sign in. Sorry for the lack of posts but since my gorgeous baby boy (a year on tuesday) passed away, I have kinda not been involved in horses, it was too hard. Well until now......

......I have recently come into ownership of a new neddie, on loan for the summer. He kinda fell in my lap and how could I refuse his gorgeous face. (pics below). Any way he is a 15yr old chestnut TB 15.1 (yes probs a bit small) ex racer horse turned polo pony. He has been passed from home to home and just never really been loved. He has hunted and since I have known him has learnt to jump and go along with his nose in!!! lol!

I took him XC schooling at rogate like 3 weeks ago and he was amazing, jumped everything, went into water, did steps, ditches, everything. Was a but hesitant but tried his little heart out. His schooling is coming nicely, and he is getting better. Needs MEGA top line but thats not really surprising. I hacked him out alone the other day (never really done that either) and was brilliant, a little babe. after first canter just thought going fast was brill but not nasty at all.

I love him he is so cute. He's not going to be the most amazing horse ever, but I have only recently just got over D and will be putting his ashes to rest on Tuesday and I am actually now ready to have a go and try and get this one going. A little project for me. Any way here are some pics.

Any crit, advice welcome, I know he needs more topline, and I will be getting him an Osteopath out as soon as pos jut for a check and probs will start giving him a balancer on top of his food to help with extra work.

PS sorry its been so long. I bet almost all of you dont even remember me. But thought I would give you updates. I have actually missed this forum and all your neddies a lot, but just couldnt quite come back. It reminded me of D too much. Ugh still miss him lots and lots and lots. Anyone who has any tips on that would also be very welcome.

Ooops sorry so long

:)

So glad you have a new horse in your life. I was thinking about you today believe it or not! I thought I must pm Nicki to see how you were getting on. That is quite surreal! :)

Whoops didnt realise I had left Nicki in the lurch with my break from the forum. Back now and will keep you updated on Ginger Jim's progress! :)

Good to see you back. I don't think you will ever get over loosing D but I hope this pretty chap (if you can say that about a boy?) goes a long way to helping you enjoy horses again - he looks lovely and kind, and I'm sure you will have a whole summer of fun as he looks the sort to be enthusiastic and just enjoy himself doesn't he?

He looks a real sweet heart from the photos, lovely to hear you have another horse, hope you have many years of fun together. :)
