Tonight was arena night, mainly due to the dark nights (obviously curbs hacking out).
Well apart from trying to be a complete twat getting on, didnt have a nap!
But for some reason this gobbing and pulling the rein has got to be a bit of a bad habit so dentist is being booked first thing in the morning.
There was a glimmer of nice work, and when in sitting trot i could really get my leg around him, but put it on and a swish of the tail and we were at full stretch trot

He was a bit crabby and quite bad tempered and would have quite happily pissed off with his head cocked given half a chance - thank god I can slow him with my seat and legs - I have a feelihg Im going to hurt tomorrow as i used so much seat!!!!
Anyway, he was fairly straight, and did show some nice work occasionally and this trot is now HUGE! compaired to what we had before.... but.. we have a LONG way to go before we are going ANYWHERE and I do have a slight feeling his teeth are hurting him - hence the head cocking and yeeh haaaa! but i could be wrong, it could be just Damien rearing his ugly head

Hopefully furture updates will be a little bit better.. on a better note, got on first attempt today.

Glad he was good, shame about the teeth, as you well know tooth ache is not nice!
Hope he gets it sorted, and you can start getting out there and showing what he is made of

Yes, we were moving forwards rather than standing on our back legs!! lol

Im pretty sure its the teeth, dentist said she wanted to see him around Sept/Oct so it would be about right.

Hes being very similar to how he was a the start of the season, dragging me around in trot rather than just being polite like he was at the end of the season. I guess hes also quite fresh and being fully clipped can feel a little cold.
Its damn spooky in my arena at night with the lights on as its poor light and casts a lot of shadows but hes very good and didnt spook at all! he was just gobby at times.
Be nice to get him going like we had before, but he can have a check over with the dentist first before i start getting after him.

Sorry, been meaning to look at your vids, will do it tomorrow, gotta work out my food diary for Weight Watchers - oh the joys!
 
Giggles, molineux has not turned to dressage diva - yipee!

I know exactly what you mean, and youre right, if i go to the hand he stands up! so it makes you very positive to ride him from the leg etc.

Indeed, im sure hes got a sharp tooth somewhere and hes quite sensitive with his mouth etc, after swapping to your bridle hes been so nice to ride, so i dont want him getting tooth ache and use that as new naughty trick!

Im sure its his teeth and i will speak to Julie and have her out to give him the once over his back too.
May as well get it all sorted! before the real work starts, plus i dont mind telling him off for being a twat, but if its pain related i want it sorted

Dentist remembered that he would need attention now, and also remembered he was a little fractious during the last time, so hes being ACPed and lunged before hand lol
But she agreed, she thought they def would need to be done now too

The grabbing the bit and cocking is head is classic teeth problems i think.
 
Hi Hon! Sounds like teeth for sure. He'll be right as rein after he's been done. Has he had his wolf teeth out?

O is having the dentist this month too. Hummm - ACP and lunging for him as well!
