Hi Every One,

My mare has a blocked sinus, which has been diagnosed by my Vet, she is on antibiotics for seven days. However I think it could be dust related. I have changed her bedding to paper (she has rubber matting) and started to soak her hay and feed of the floor as this also helps drain the snot.

As it was wet on Saturday I noticed she came in with a clean nose and no green snot drained out when she was eating her hay, however I tied her up to my friends stable on Sunday while I mucked out, she got loose and started to eat a hay net that had been hanging up in my friends stable for a while and when I realized she had green snot. It is only her left side.

Can anyone suggest a supplement I could start to give her. She is fine in herself and one she has finished the antibiotics she will spend some nights out.

Thanks for that.

I am worring at the moment as she still has a some green snot in the morning and she is on day four of the antibiotics.

She is still her same bright self.

I have spoken to my vet this morning and he is giving me another two weeks antbiotics. She is showing improvment ie there isn't as much green snot and she is completely clear at night.
