noticed for a about a week that my horse has a snotty nose! Not thick and gunky just clear/pale discharge. He's eating well and seems himself. Just seems to get worse after exercise!
Anyone have any idea what it might be?!
Thanks x

Whats his temp been like since he started this? (please tell me you have taken his temperature)
If normal, then could be due to seasonal pollens or anything in respiratory tract, so get vet to check.
If anything not 'normal' then best contact vet as could be anything from cold/flu to strangles.

Both mine had a normal temp with strangles. Only one even had snot - but it was creamy but pale, not clear. Most likely dust or pollen but if you are worried / it lingers get the vet out.

If it was strangles/ flu I would expect some change over a week, either full blown symptoms or it to have improved, to me is sounds like a form of allergy/ upper respiratory tract infection the fact that it drains during exercise would be normal if it is, ideally you need to know what you are dealing with as treatment will vary depending on the cause.

Annabelle, if yours is eating well, has a normal temp & only has a slight clear drip from his nose after work then I wouldn't be worrying too much.
Prob better to have a quick chat with your vet than some random strangers on a forum.
After all, you want him to be 100% when he goes to PC camp shortly, your vet might also be able to advise the best feed for him too at the same time :)
