Well just watched the weather, 10-20cm of snow coming to the midlands, so todays plan is bung a few more bales of shavingings into the stable, fill countless haynets til I cant feel my fingers, fetch my mare in and there she will stay. Being such a diva, she doesnt do snow, and after her numerous Bambi impressions after the last few days thats probably wise!! Anyone else having the same day as me??

Same here, weather warnings for most Wales for Tuesday. Although, right here, we've managed to avoid the worst of it, and just had bad ice, in this valley the snow seems to go 'around' us..too much hot air rising perhaps haha

My two hate being in at ALL, so they'll be in their rugs, out, with loads of hay and icicles hanging from their chins lol

Good luck!

I always turn out, even in snow. Horses cope far better with snow than being stuck in - I don't want to risk filled legs or tying up. Today I will be filling several buckets with salt grit so as to keep the bit between the stables and the field safe to use.

Hate the stuff, very nice and pretty first day, but after that a real pain, emptied muck trailer today after a fortnight as deisel in tractor freezes and 2 weeks of shavings getting wet is no joy to empty, even with the 2 of us doing it.
