Snow paws

Is there anything I can put on spaniels paws to stop the snow/ice clotting up and making her sore? It balls up between the pads and sticks to her little hairy feet!

I have just trimmed the hair from between Sophie's toes so she can run around without having this problem but she is a mongrel who does not care about her looks so perhaps not appropriate for a spaniel?

I use vaseline or this vastly expensive stuff called 'Adore the paw' that I bought for Tawny in the shooting season. Vaseline works just as well though!
