Are you expecting heavy snowfall this weekend? Perhaps you're already inundated...Just a thread to discuss how the snow is in your area and how it's affecting the hunting really.

Around here, it's started snowing already but none of it is settling. It's meant to carry on all day tomorrow as well though, which makes me fear hunting will be cancelled on Saturday.

I very much hope it won't be though and we'll go out on foot instead! Are you worried about having to cancel?

No, Sydney!!! Don't say that!!

Joking apart, of 2 of the packs local to me, one cancelled yesterday and the other went on foot, so it's not looking likely that anyone is going anywhere on Saturday :( :(

Countryman- we were meant to have a visiting pack tomorrow and I doubt they'll come so I'd say hunting is unlikely. I'll let you know if I hear anything.

OEH, I agree I hugely doubt they'd want to drive a hound van and horseboxes hundreds of miles in this weather. Just praying for the email to come in saying our own hounds will be out on foot!

We have just had the email to say tomorrow is cancelled mounted, and whether we are on foot will depend on the ice....

So glad I made it out on tues as suspect it might be our last day for a while....

Keep warm all x

Tomorrow cancelled for us as well :( But they're going to have a bobbery foot pack out I think instead, which is better than nothing but I'd rather it were our own hounds :(

Between flooding and freezing, my local pack has done 10 days since Opening Meet (November).....and yes, we've cancelled tomorrow! :-(

It's been such a bitty season. I had 2 weeks off at the beginning with a banged knee, then one Tuesday iced off and the Saturdays either side DH was shooting so I couldn't go, which wiped out another week and a half and now I'm mentally writing off January.

If I can just do every day in Feb and have some flyers, that might make up for it. It's keeping the horse going in this weather ready for when it thaws which is difficult!

I'm assuming we're cancelled tomorrow, haven't even bothered checking the phone.

Grrr!

Thankfully, due to the variety of country available, we've only lost 6 days since OM............but the tally has started to rise fast recently!! :(
