I tried using the Snuggy Turnout hood on my TB but it ended up rubbing his jaw raw!! And was thinking about rubbing his nose as well. Has anybody else had this problem? Ive been using it on my other horses since with no problems but I bought it for this horse.

Should I sew something along the jaw bit (ie. the underneath of the head bit)? Would Snuggy Hoods do this for me since it shouldnt surely be doing this??

I had the exact same issue with mine you need to talk to Snuggy Hoods! They're really helpful and can fix this for you, it's all about getting the correct fit. Like us, our horses don't always conform exactly to a standard size and Snuggy Hoods will nip & tuck as necessary to stop any rubs. I had mine done very reasonably by them and now it fit's perfectly and I couldn't survive winter without it.
PS. You should try their Sweet Itch set, it's far better than the Boett!
