SNUGGY HOODS - AGAIN!

Sorry to go on about these but I am not having much luck. I got scared of using my full neck S.Hood as I was worried it was too tight around Bruno's shoulder so in a moment of Ebay madness I bought a head only one.

So far, its bloomin useless. Looks fab when i first put it on but once he has been in the field for about 30 seconds the hood part works its way towards his ears and the neck cover of his combo rug sags towards his wither leaving a huge muddy gap

I found a piece of velcro on the top back of the hood which I presume is meant to attach it to the top of rug although they dont mention it in the instructions. I tried sewing the velcro to the rug but gave up as it was just too tough to get the needle through. So I tried super glue & its lasted one day

Any suggestions? Is anyone succesfully using one of these?

If you send it back to snuggy they will sew an extension piece on to prevent it riding up. This was a problem with the earlier heads, so they say, and will do this free of charge.

i have had this problem with fly hoods and fly sheets.velcro is not tough enough for this job,you need those plastic clip thingies like this...

Is it the wrong size as we have one of these and it doesn't move. We don't attach it to the rug in anyway either.

i've had snuggy hoods for about 3 years and they have never moved once on and fitted perfectly. I love them but do only use them in the coldest weather.

Same problem as you, but I didnt go with the velcro as was unconvinced that it would help...... I also got them to make it extra long in the neck ....... but to no avail. It just bunched up round his throat!!
