Is he in at night? If its wet and the temperature drops tonight he will be cold. IMHO. I wouldn't put in on when raining the wet will be trapped underneath and can't dry. This is only my way of thinking and around us they have forcast 2 degrees tonight which normally means a slight frost. Hope this helps a little. I always find it hard at this time of year (which rug to put on heavy or medium). It's a nightmare isn't it and then we worry they're either too cold or too warm.
