Snuggy Hoods Sheath Cover

I’ve just bought a sheath cover for my gelding who has warts/sarcoids on his sheath which are getting attacked by flies. My worry is that he won’t pee though the cover as it doesn’t seem very roomy and he’s a big lad . Has anyone used one and does your horse pee through it quite happily?!

I tried one and it upset the horse who did not pee through it. I found the most effect way of controlling fly strike on him was Battles yellow summer cream. He was an elderly horse and prone to maggots in the sheath.

I think it is probably very individual, as I have one on a very midge sensitive 16.3hh who is very happy to pee through it!

I have one but I’m yet to use it for the same reason as you

Mine is absolutely fine and my other horse was too never had any issues at all
