Snuggy hoods tunout hood....any good? Any thoughts much appreciated!

Hi all,

I am wondering what people's experiences with Snuggy hoods full turnout hoods are? Im very tempted to get one having never really used any sort of hoods on my boy before...but every year i completely lose his mane and wonder if this may help aswell as keep him really snug and warm through the winter months...? Any experiences/thoughts would be much appreciated! I don't mind paying out the money if they are a worthwhile piece of kit!

A lot of people swear by them, in my case it didn't suit my horse, it didn't fit, I phoned and they took detailed measurements, sent it back for re adjustment. Came back and it still slipped over her eyes in a matter of hours causing her eye to swell, I was very lucky it wasn't damaged. They agreed to refund me on return of the hood, so many phone calls later and return of the hood, numerous card details and I still haven't had a refund.

I have some and they fit really well, however i still find they rub the mane out so dont use them much

i use mine all winter on my grey mare,they keep her clean and fit well but sadly still rub her mane..

love mine, sent them back for ears to be put in. Service was great, and they are fantastic, dont slip and keep ned clean and dry (And best of all - mud free!!!)

I've found them fab and don't rub the mane. But I think this depends on the horse rather than the kit, in my experience. Some seem to rub and some don't!

Didn't rub Bs mane, but made his chest bald. Also when playing in the field the hood ripped, I sent it back and it was repaired... The day it came back I turned B out with it on, and it was ripped from Bs eye hole to the hole where his nose comes out! I haven't used it since!!
