In snuggie hoods , does one side of the rug come under and round the horses belly ? I want to use that sort of design for a costume I am making. If anyone has a pic of a snuggie hood ( when its not on a horse) they will be appreciated.

don't have a photo, but the belly section is attached to the main rug in between the horses front legs and then you velcro up both sides

I have a pic cos I sold mine on ebay.....

I will promise , Last year I went in my dressing gown and dressed the pony up as a bath. But he spooked at it and managed to snap the the tie trying to get away from it :-s, needless to say I came last

Poor you - but I did laugh! I had a horrid experience accompanying a boat, whereby the pony sidestepped every time the commentator spoke into the microphone - which was a lot as he was waffling while the 2 elderly lady judges went and spoke to every child about their costume. Poor pony, usually bombproof, had never been in that close proximity to a loudspeaker (was at our corner of the arena)

Are you dressing as Cruella then?

Yeah, I'm just trying to work out the actual costume design. Not sure whether I should do a suggy hood sort of thing and put the pattern across the belly or justa normal rug with a neck bit and bandages.

Long time ago I was meant to be dressed as an elf to lead Santa Klaus on a display. checked everything but hadn't taken into account 2 important things.

1. Not a chance in hell of putting bells anywhere near my horses ears.
2. Santa was being pulled on a sleigh by a shetland. Cue horses 2 hates - small ponies and horses pulling carts.
3.Santa's lead elf exited very quickly out of the school and ended up having to bring up the rear... a long way from Santa and sadly lacking with any bellls...
