Either, as far as I'm aware. Putting a stable rug on top will keep em cleaner though.

Not sure if the ones you mean have the full head on them?

I have heard the occasional scare story about horses getting their faces caught in the ones with hoods, although that's usually the turnout ones. No personal experience of that and a horse in my yard has the full face one on all the time at night (stabled). I use one occasionally for my boy overnight in the stable, to keep him clean for early starts the next day. If I were to by again, I'd get one with just the neck, not the head too.

depends on how cold it is? It is essentially just a fleece....

I have known lots of horses with snuggyhoods and if they have the right size, they never move

Thankyou, I have the jams, just waiting for the neck cover ( without the head) I have the turnout head one but only use when absolutely essential ie, its really really wet and muddy.

I have the jams and the fleece is quite thick so I find the fleece enough for my boy. I love it, but try to save it for before shows either than every night
