Sorry had to share... I've never been confident jumping but have been practising loads lately and a couple of my good friends have been advising me. Anyway I'm now confident jumping very low jumps so today they put it up another 3 inches which looked huge to me. Well after a few refusals we jumped it

. I'm just so pleased that I did it.... the Hunter Trial is starting to look possible now

I know exactly how you feel! I've only just started jumping again on my new horse, they're very small but the sense of achievement is great. i have my non-horsey sister with me to force me to do them, otherwise I'd chicken out! Well done

Well done, no stopping you now!

My daughter did her first Horse Trials today, so I was a VERY PROUD parent, knowing full well that I couldnt have even done the dressage test, let alone the SJ and XC phase.
I am now shattered and need to lie down in a dark room!!!

I will come and cheer you on anytime.

This is why I love this forum!

Knowing that other people have the same confidence issues as me but go on to overcome them gives me the incentive to push myself that little bit more. I have just started jumping Jerry (although he has done it all before and is far better than me) and last week I did some little xc jumps on him. I was so chuffed I had achieved something I thought I never would - and a lot of it is down to the people on this forum giving me inspiration!
Well done happybus - I know how you are feeling!

I'll be perfectly honest he only refuses because he knows I'm not sure. If someone more confident gets on he'll do it no problem. That's what I love about him, he wont do something if he knows you don't want to.
