so excited - looks like this weekend my horsey gets handed over to me! I have been riding him for a couple of weeks but as he has been for sale for a while i have taken the plunge and bought him. Couldnt afford it at all,had to ebay the contents of the house but hey hoo! Has been a stressful journey for me as bought a TB last year that turned out to need more time than i could give her and with a car accident in Jan i pretty much had to stop riding for a bit. Now i have the most gorgeous boy in my life, i am so excited! I have hacked him up to my house last weekend for about 3 hours and he just munched grass in my front lawn, my non horsey OH even brough him in did his rug and fed him last sunday and he loves him too - as does my mother in law and she doesnt like anything! My 2 year old has also been sitting on him and bearing in mind hes 16.3 thats how gentle he is. We have been having some super hacks, i was a little unsure about hacking on my own after my last horse as always went out in company but he really looks after me. Plan is just to slowly get to know each other then do some local shows at the end of july then maybe the burghley sponsered ride. I shall keep you all up to date with our progress! Anyway more details - hes 16.3 bay 9yrs old by clover hill, he did lots of xc and sj with previous owner but isnt really a worldbeater, just a lovely sensible boy.
