Well its been an aganizing wait six weeks has flown by and my horse comes home tomorrow! I have waited three years for this moment and it has been three years of ups and downs believe me! Although i work on a stud with youngsters day in day out i take my hat off to anyone who has bought a youngster to bring on because it can be difficult, hard work, and frustrating at times as i know ,but if you are experienced enough and have the time and patience to do it it is a wonderful experience to watch them grow and learn! He has his faults dont get me wrong he is no angel but after the loss of my old mare i now feel i have the chance to have the same kind of bond with him as i did with her,i feel alive inside again and it feels fantastic.I am now looking forward to sharing a lifetime of adventures with such a wonderful horse. Thanks to everyone who has kept my spirits up after losing my mare and showing me life does go on!!!!!!!!!!!x

Ah thankyou! She sure was one special horse i hope i can have 24 years of the same pleasures with Gizmo they really are the most extraordinary creatures i cant think of anything that makes me more happy than being around them! x

Oh that brought tears to my eyes. Hope all goes well.

I have a baby I plan to bring on and ride in three or four year's time, and I know I am in for a rollercoaster but I love her mum to bits and the bond is unbreakable, hope I have the same bond with her.

When I was 17 I got my first baby my friend bred him for me, he was a devil, right up until I broke him, the work gave his over active brain some thing to think about. after I said I would never have another, He is now 14 years old & the most wonderful horse I could have ever wished for, & more talented than I dared hope,

A few years ago I took on a another foal, a cob who was a lovely girly, she is now 7 and I sold her to a friend so I know she has a home for life, I also backed her & had the joy of taking her on her first pleasure ride only 8 weeks after she was backed, she was a big solid 4 year old cob! I also rode her in her first ever ridden show a few week back were she was placed 5 & 3rd.

This year I have gone out & bought another yearling (also a devil in disguise) as my now 14 year old has a few health issues, so a little bitter sweet, sad for my old boy but im really looking forward to what lies ahead for us. It might be hard work but its well worth it in the end, I remember my 14 year olds first show like it was yesterday, his first ever course of jumps not only did he go clear we came 4th, I was so pleased I cried! That rosette is still my favourite!!

I must mention my old girl too, she's now 33 but with out her, I don't know were I would be she has been fantastic with all the babies, firm but fare & I may have been lucky but they all seem to have taken on her laid back attitude to life!

Tears are in my eyes too. I'm sooooooo excited for you

I got my baby 1 1/2 years ago and backed him myself (with the help of my mega brill instructor), he's the first baby i've backed and was pretty text booked, although I still have a few more grey hairs than before

Sunday is his and my first ever dressage comp - my buddies and and my instructor all say we should do well...

i hope so, but to be honest, getting rond in 1 piece will be fine. i'm so proud of him. My old boy (29) loves it all too, he has grass, mares and no competitions in sight
