my head is proper spinning just now, from being so tired from work, the stress we have had with abby during the year, and riding poppy who's being a wee cow ATM

i'm getting really frustrated at the farm i'm on and i dunno if i should consider moving farms but theres no where else decent to go

i've been given the all clear to bring abby (VERY slowly) back into work after 3 months off. just want to be able to jump on a go galloping across the hills again

i'm riding poppy whenever i can cause i will need her next year for the common ridings (just too risky to take abby) but with the winter rolling in sooooo fast and having no riding school or even a properly flat field to ride in i'm going to seriously struggle

plus i dont get on with the other man at the farm, he has the only 2 proper stables and i just wish he would go away!! after the whole dumping of poo in my stable incident things have just been getting worse..... leaving rubbish everywhere!! poo lying all over the place!!! leaving all his junk in front of my stable so i cant get in!!! grrrrrr i'm just so bloody fed up just now...... just want to get away from this place away from EVERYTHING!!!!

sorry for rant

needed to blow off some steam :P

Lifes to short to be miserable at your yard ! You say there's nowhere decent but it sounds like your place is pretty shite. Ive got 3 yards all within spitting distance of my house but I keep my horse at a yard 6 miles away coz I love it there. Horses are bloody expensive and time consuming enough without the dread of what you'll find when you get to the yard. Find yourself a better yard even if it means a drive. You will be much happier and so will your horses.

Hey,

Sometimes things are not so bad as you think!

At least you can start riding your horse abby again? that must be a relief?

Perhaps a move may be just what you need, a fresh start somewhere new to bring your horse back into work?

Horses are so rewarding but can be so stressful at times!

Good luck with whatever you decide

Oh no Poor P!! Horses are always em.. challenging, to say the least and hopefully they will improve so just take a big big deep breath. Re yard - that man sounds horrid, can you not move (or kill him haha)

lots of (((((((vibes)))))))) for a happier day tommorro x

Hope you feel better after that, I always find a good rant helps me see things in perspective and feel better afterwards.

What was the dumping poo in your stable incident?! I'd be really annoyed if he was doing things like that to me, I bet you feel at the end of your tether. My yard is pretty good but the occasional body brush goes missing, which means someone has been in my tack box, which annoys me to no end, and now they've started a riding school and the horses are tied up outside my stable so I can't tie my horse up there, and all their mess is left outside for me to clean up. One horse was fed outside my stable and my horse went nuts trying to pick all the bits up!

It's just manners really. Hope you get things sorted soon

and i love riding little poppy poo ive had her for soo long and i was the one who basically broke her properly.... but she's always been a stubborn little cow lol!! she hates hacking alone, wont school, can just be a real brat. but when she behaves its sooo rewarding to me i couldnt be without her
frown.gif
she's actually very similar to me in personality lol!!! so i'm sooo looking forward to getting back on my push button TB, but i've got another couple of months just lunging and walk/trot in the field

Sorry to hear things are tough right now, i agree with the above posts and if you can move yards you should, yours sounds like it's adding more stress to your already stressful day and you dont need it, do what you can to eliminate anything causing you extra trouble and contrate on enjoying your horses

Hi where about are you , you mentioned common ridings so i am guessing you are in the borders or nearby , try and cheer up i know it seems bad at the moment but i am sure things will get better.
