Hi all! Hoping you can give me some advice!
We have taken on another chi from a friend as she didn't get on with previous owners life style and we could offer her a more suitable home. She is a sweet little gremlin but she is petrified of me! She frustrates me so much as I have been working loads with her and today she ran in tail wagging and jumped on my lap, I let her sit there for 10 minutes and then gently stroked her, she was fine for 3 strokes and then all of a sudden got up yelping and ran out leaving a trail of pee. I ignore her mainly but will randomly offer her calming food (dairy etc) and I'm never loud or move quickly around her so I'm un sure of how to move forward with this!
Just a little disclaimer that she has had a trauma in her past with a bloke beating Crap out of her but she was rehomed through family so not because she is an issue!
And another update is wolf dog isn't coming, oh's security dog has come to live at home due to medical reasons and we think he will be beat off working and living at home. Two dogs would of not got on!
