Today went to the yard in the afternoon, and 1st field were all his friends, no Goose? went into 2nd field and there he was, looking all sorry for himself with his leg through the fence.
Tried to free him but no joy, so had to leave him to go and get wire cutters.
Hated leaving him and his face when I left broke my heart but he was so sensible and stood nicely just calling and calling. I ran all the way back to the yard which took about 10 mins in total to get wire cutters with yard owner and drive back down there.
No damage done, so glad he stood like a rock, could have been much worse.
I loves him I do :) my sensible pony.
 
6 month old weaned purebred ID, only had him days. Managed to roll under the fence down a bank and wrapped himself around an oak tree.

We went out to catch him and his mature friend (another ID). Of course we had a panic on realising foaly was missing. I told my husband to take the other horse in whilst I kept looking. The big one would not go and turned taking my husband to the spot where the foal was down the bank. The foal was on his feet, not a mark on him and was just stood waiting to be collected. He was barely halter broken but he stood whilst we dismantled the post and rail and cut down some of the hedge.

I dropped another ID in a ditch out hunting by being a pathetic rider. He stood whilst the bank was dug out.

My friends ID put a front leg through a footpath stile. When I found him he had a rail in front of his canon bone and a bar at the back, so no matter which way I flexed his leg it could not be freed. God bless mobile phones, help was summoned and we cut him free, all I had on him was my belt round his neck.

Finally my own partbred ID filly foal aged 10 months pawed at the five bar gate as I walked towards her, put her leg straight through it and got caught in the 'V', she pulled back and the clasp gave way, so she was now trapped in a swinging gate. I was 20 yards away from her, I called to her to stand - she did and I got her out. That only happened a few weeks ago and all my gates are now boarded.

I love Irish horses.
 
My lovely sensible WB managed to clip himself by his leg stap onto the fence and stayed there until I got up there to rescue him! Bless him! Helps having a sensible sort!
 
My 3/4 ID had a rug slip right round one night so he was standing on it- girl found him in the morning just standing there, perfectly calmly although completely unable to walk forward to eat his breakfast (he could only just reach a little bit of his haynet as well so was quite hungry!) He simply asked someone to help him with a little nicker :) bless

Mind you, my crazy welsh will stand perfectly still when I ask him to, even when he got his headcollar caught on his stable door one time (don't ask me how, I was standing right there watching him!- I never leave a horse in stable with headcollar on alone)
