You may remember my post about poss bone spavins the other day.

Well after much misery and googling/youtubing lamness/hock, I'm pretty I was looking in completely the wrong place & it's much less dramatic than that. Stifle, duh:rolleyes:

I THINK, we have a case of upwards fixation of the patella...Not great, but better than I thought.

She was very fit when she came, and I have left her for a cooling off period for a while, which has probably been the onset.

SO, go me :D (not that bigger feat, but I feel like a genius none the less).

So I will start work again and see what happens, and I will be speaking to the vet shortly.

Any advice welcome as this is the first time I've witnessed it!

It's wha works best, my little man is best kept lean with regular work - once or twice a week is enough but we are very hilly for turnout etc anyway.

Others find them holding more weight is better but exercise is the one thing is common agreeance :)

Thanks popularfurball :)

She is a good weight at the moment, bein standardbred I guess she is holding a little more than she needs, but coming into winter I don't mind.

Unfortunately our paddocks are flat, but I have an excellent hilly hack route to take her on.

I guess the thing that will test it is when she comes in at night, I might have to have her out 24/7...

How cute :) she is constantly backing up to me when i go in the field, I thought it was for a scratch but now I think of it shes probably releasing the leg? The scratching is just extra nice!
