Dont think it will be long before I'm back on D's back and I'm so looking forward to it! After nearly 5 months out of work due to the p!ss poor weather, I started brining him back into work about 3 weeks ago. Done some walking in hand down the lanes (which resulted in some lovely comments that it was a nice change to see a horse being walked than cars and tractors
) and some lunging. It's finally clicked in his pea for a brain what I'm asking and now I can get walk, trot and canter on both reins and he's getting more responsive to my voice. The best bit though, is the fact I've actually got the saddle back on his back. He has major issues being girthed up at the best of times (though once its on he's fine to have it tightened, just doesnt like the initial bit), and on Friday I just showed him his saddle and sat it on his back. Well he completely freaked out and fled around his stable. So Saturday and yesterday me and dad taking our time managed to get it on his back, and do the girth up, with out so much as him batting an eyelid, so yay I'm nearly there. Bit more work on the lunge with his tack on now, then hopefully by the end of the month I can start doing some gentle riding work in the field with him, then get back into it properly. So happy!!

Sorry pointless post, but am just chuffered that I'll be rinding my horsey again soon!
