Waterproof again!!??

I have bathed Merlin for his bald patches, and now, ideally would like to keep the rug off. BUT its going to rain for the next week and he will be cold and wet and miserable . . . . . . wont he???

it depends what you bathed him in, i guess. i think i'd put a lightweight (unlined) nz on if i was worried... unless he has access to a shelter, in which case it's up to him if he wants to get wet and miserable!

I used to go out with a vet and he always said that you need 3 days of good weather before you can bathe a horse and that too hot is better than too cold.

Then again, if he's not cold...

Well I turned him out and then got him back in and re rugged him

. . . .

It keeps raining and I cant get there during the day tomorrow to rescue him
