So how many horses have you owned in your life?

Ok so I had:
4 ponies (Brandy, Lucky, Raisin and Bob)

and
5 horses (Benson, Ella, Otto, Blackie (half shared) and now Bodey).

5, first pony at 8 and I'm 19 at present

Ponies 2 (Lucky 12.2hh had her for 3 yrs, and Tamor 14.1hh had her for 4 yrs)

Horses 3 (Teaka 15.2hh had her for 2 yrs, Gypsy- current had so far for 3 yrs15.1hh, Hattie- current 15.3hh had so far for 1 yrs)

taking into account i'm 23 i have had the following

at 1 - 9hh shetland Tricky Dicky (still own)
at 4 - 12h2 welsh part bred Badger (still own)
at 9 - 12h2 Welsh sec B Nantcol Premier (the jumping machine

at 11.5 - 14h2 Welsh sec D x arab Santa (still own!)
at 16 - 16h3 7/8ths TB Goofy who sadly after two years was PTS.
starting riding Dan at 17 loaned him then when going to uni at 18 thought I better buy him if taking him with me!

So 4 ponies and 2 horses. Have ridden/competed a lot more on a regular basis just not owned them! Including my Mums 13h3 who I stole for jumping from about 12 or 13 hee hee hee

I loaned one when I was about 13 for a few years, a 13.1hh NF mare. I got my own when I was 14, a 14.1hh Welsh Cob mare. Sold her a year and a half ago, and now at 19 I have a 15.3hh ID X.
Wouldn't change any of them either!

My current boy is the first horse I have 'owned'. Had many when I was young living at home with my parents but they were not wholly paid for by myself...I would earn money to contribute.
So this is the first horse I pay for out of my hard earned money (and OH's).!!!

At 14 got a few spot foal called Simba who made 13.2hh
18yrs got a 18mth PB arab by Psadat ex Welsh cob called Shimmering Image, she was put in-foal at 3yrs to an AA Ombre Solaire & made 15hh
Her daughter made 15.1 & was the best SJ I ever rode, I only remember her stopping once & that was my fault.
I bought Dark Secret when Tara was about 18mths old, she was a black 16.1hh TB who then produced an unknown chestnut filly we named Cassie. Ebbs was then put in foal a couple of years later to an ID Ben Ross & produced Lady who made 16.2 but I was unable to keep her. Ebbs was pts after breaking a hind leg & was in-foal to Blue Monarch.
Then after a long break from ownership bought the best little 11hh Palomino Welsh Sec A as my daughter had started riding, she was followed by an unreg grey Welsh & I bought a 15.1hh QH x AA Spice to accompany her on hacks. Next came pony from hell a 13.3hh snowflake, who produced a very nice leopard spot 13.3hh Bandit who my sister now rides & drives. When Spice was also put to sleep after breaking a hind leg, she was replaced by Sas a 15hh QH x Welsh C, she has had a foal which we hope to keep. Star the snowflake was replaced by Spice so as I had lost my ride when Mo came up I bought her. We currently have Mo, Sas, Prince & Bailey (who is on loan) a 14.2hh palomino who is about 20yrs old!

6) We then had Bertie was Barley Son dont have him anymore

i did help look after/train up a little cob mare earlier this year, and got close to buying her but then my dad ruined it.

Parents bought me two as a child- First was Falcon 13.2hh Arab/Dartmoor and then, when I grew out of him we sold him to my friend and my mum bought me Cedar: 14.3hh Irish Sports horse/conemarra. Cedar had a foal called Tosca who we sold as a weanling

I've had 2 on loan as an adult - Bob 16.2 schoolmaster eventer Irish Sports horse and Molly 15.3 TB exflat racehorse.

But Polly is the first horse that I've actually saved for and bought for myself. She is extra special because of it!
