I have been putting together a squad to take to Royal Windsor Horse Show to represent Hertfordshire Constabulary in the Services Show Jumping. It's been lots of hard work but I've got 2 teams together and I'm very excited to say we'll be there competing on Saturday 11th May!!!
It's my first time competing at such a big show so it's a very weird feeling being very excited but terrifyingly nervous. With the added pressure of representing my police force I think it will make for an interesting experience but I'm so pleased it's all worked out
I've been offered the opportunity to ride a fantastic horse so all credit goes to his owner and we're having our first team meet up today. A little over 2 months to go to get ourselves organised but I'm hoping it will all go to plan and we'll have a wonderful time.
If anyone has been before and has any tips, please let me know as any help we can get would be appreciated! I'm still trying to work out how to fill the application forms in so I may be pestering the poor show secretary again for help!
