...I can't seem to find ANYTHING worth going to look at!

I'm finally getting back into horses having sold my last one 8 months ago (a-levels..grrr), and I'm looking for a nice young-ish horse (doesn't have to have done anything, etc) which I can bring on to hunt and event (no, I'm not expecting to go round badders!) Local, or within two/three hours-ish of Shropshire.

So I don't have the biggest budget in the world (ideally under £2500) and I would actually quite LIKE to have a thoroughbred, but unless I'm blind I haven't seen any adverts which make me want to jump in my car and shove my money down their throats. Or even feel remotely like I want to go and try it out.

Okay so while this has turned into a bit of a self-indulgent grumble, I suppose what I'm actually trying to say is...
HHO PLEASE HELP ME FIND A HORSE.

I've maybe taken the 'youngish' a bit too young, but some nice looking youngsters to consider!!

this stud is really good, they stand some nice stallions, two of which are full tb, (although american agent was possibly going to be gelded this year) http://www.groomsbridgestud.co.uk/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=87&Itemid=67

thank you, competitiondiva, they are ALL very very lovely although some slightly too young for me ;) I completely forgot to say on my OP, looking for 15hh - 16hh, as I am a shorty. Thanks though!

How far would you be willing to travel?
Someone I know is advertising a 4 year old TB of their friends for-sale, in Lancashire?

Could PM you link to ad. if required. x

I know of a really lovely 3/4 TB 1/4 connemara gelding - to make 15.2 within your budget, in Shropshire....... he's only 2 though - but he'll be well worth the wait - he's by an Advanced eventer, out of a jumping pony mare :)

What about an ex race horse? Plenty available, usually very well bred and move well. Can out you in touch with someone who might be able to help.

Hello! sorry for the ridiculously late reply, I somehow managed to not be able to find this thread :D PM's gratefully received, and I'll be replying to them pronto.

Spacefaer (I think thats how it was spelt :P) - thanks ever so much, but I really don't think I have the time or expertise to break in my own horse :( I'd be scared of ruining him!

Liviaa'x - if you could PM me the ad that's be great! thank you.

Tiffany - if you could that'd be lovely.
thank you all so much for trying to help me out :D
