We have had Katy, our 19 month old border terrier, for about 5 weeks now.
It's been really interesting watching how she has learnt things from Dougal, who we have had for 4 years.
When we first got her, she would try to jump straight out of the car cage, whereas Dougal always sits and waits for us to tell him to exit the car. Within a few days Katy was sitting politely in the cage, waiting to be told be get out.
Also, Doug has a little rug in the kitchen that he sits on when he is waiting for his food. We call it his Dinner Mat. We can say 'On your mat' and he sits on it, looks at us and then we give him the go-ahead to eat.
Katy very quickly copied him and began sitting on the mat, knowing it meant food.
So cute watching her learn the ways of our household, organically, without us formally teaching her.
