Today I was up the yard with Harley and some friends and this little dog appeared (JRT type). the yard has a BridlePath running right next to it, but none of us could remember seeing anyone go down it.... So we went down there to have a look.... nothing. Little dog kept following us around. So we finished up the horses (over an hour), hoping someone would appear looking for her.

Sadly noone appeared. She was so so lovely and friendly, although quite old. She had a collar but no tag (grr!) So I decided to ring the vets down the hill to see if they would scan her for a microchip. I was shocked by their reply that they weren't interested as it was a Saturday afternoon and to ring the dog warden or the RSPCA!!!! So I decided to ring my vet, who is several miles away, and they came up trumps and told me to bring her in for a scan. :) :) THAT is why they are my vets!!! :) :)

She was such a poppet in the car, quite happy. We had totally fallen for her, and the YO had said if no home could be found for her he would have her back. :) But thankfully she had a microchip! :) :) the nurse rang the company and the owners owned a yard over the hill from where she was found (she had come a good few miles though!). Owners weren't answering the phone, so I said because I knew exactly where it was I'd take her back. The vets know me and were happy with that on the condition that if they weren't in I'd bring her back. But thankfully someone was in, so the dear old thing is happily at home tonight.

Such a cutey. Glad things worked out for her.
