Because, scaredy-cat Snotbags nearly dragged me, arse first into the River Trent yesterday!!

We went to Catton Park Game Fair and, given the heat, made several visits to the river so the dogs could cool off. Otto had been wading and was stood on his lead on the bank, whilst my Dad let his have a paddle. He threw a twig to get his to go in for a paddle and Otto dived after it! Given the lack of tread on my shoes and the slippy wet grass i skidded onto my bum and half way down the bank before I had to let go of his lead!
Oh well, we managed to entertain all the people sat on the river bank!! :D

Afterwards we took him to the river Soar, so he could have a proper swim without an audience, and the silly sod swam right over to the other side!! I think we can safely say he is no longer scared of water! :D

He also partook in his first ever scurry! He was a very good boy, but given that he hasn't been doing dummy work for very long and that it wasn't his dummy, he didn't really have much of an idea of what to do. Give it time though and he will be beating all those stinky pot-hunting Labs :D :D

The best bit of the whole day, was my little excitable spaniel standing stock still whilst a teeny tiny toddler stroked him :D He's a good boy really!
