My lovely farrier Mark Barton came out to shoe and trim my lot. He very kindly offered to turn the big mare out for me as I struggle to walk through the mud with my arthritic knees. He let go of her and turned to close the gate. *starts chuckling*. It is very muddy outside her field but there is no mud on the inside as she has a patio. As he turned to close the gate and asked 'is this on' and just as I replied 'yes' he touched the fence. *more chuckling*.
CRACK went the fence. Mark does the dance of a thousand funky chickens, jumps back, SPLAT in the mud....... I actually have tears in my eyes I am laughing so much writing this but you can just picture the scene.....
