A guy who is a friend of one of my work colleagues is a very talented artist so I asked him if he would paint my boys for me. I've always wanted a nice portrait of them on my wall but never known anyone good enough to paint them. I was very apprehensive as I know how difficult it is to paint horses, he said he would do his best so I put my trust in him and took the plunge.

I am now the proud owner of two beautiful portraits of my boys and had to share them. :D :D :D

I've posted the original photos he had to work from as well as the portraits. I am so very, very pleased. I almost cried when I saw them.

I am very pleased with them. :D

He doesn't have a website, he doesn't even do this for a living, he just does it as a hobby. He's very, very talented. Work colleagues have asked him to paint a variety of their pets and they've all been of such high standard. He's also done portraits of children, they're all exceptionally good.

He's on half doing a portrait of the shetland in my signature now. We lost him 18 months ago so I think this will be a lovely way of remembering him. I can't wait for the last one to be done now so I can frame them and hang them on my living room wall. :)
 
They are beautiful. He should think about doing them and charging for them, i'm sure he would have a queue waiting for him.
