After the thread I posted about how much to do with my youngster the other day I decided to get on with it and take him out for his first ever solo hack today!

He's 3 yrs and 8 months, and hasn't been ridden since November so has had 2 months off and he was fantastic! Just went for a little walk around the chase for about 15 mins, and he behaved perfectly, I'm so so pleased with him! :biggrin3:

I expected him to be a bit wobbly as I've only rode him 4 times and we went out in company before but he really doesn't seem bothered. Hopefully he will carry on being this laid back :)

AArrhh bless him the big furry ginger. He looks like he's seen something interesting. :D I bet you gave him loads of cuddles for been a good boy too :D:D

It's the fancy browband wot done it. Well done pony!

It's the best feeling isn't it? :D Mine did pretty much the same last week. Nothing useful for months due to weather then dragged on a hack. He's an awful lot bigger than yours (and significantly less furry) but even without a fancy browband, he too was such a good boy.

Thanks everyone! Haha he got extra carrots in his feed when we got back :biggrin3:

And yep he is deff a furry ginge at the moment! Total scruff bag, can't wait to see what his summer coat is like :)

It really is! glad yours is going well too! Haha he's a fluffy midget pony, need to measure him actually to see just how small he is...good job I'm short too!
