Skinny Minnie arrived yesterday and went straight in with Fat Lad.
Her new MW turnout arrived today (Equestrian Clearance are fab!) and OH and I went to put it on her. I realised that I don't actually know anything about Skinny Minny, so wondered how I would a) catch her, and b) get the rug on her!
I needn't have worried, I called Skinny Minny and Fat Lad and rattled a bucket. They both came trotting down the field and both waited patiently while I put a feed trug in front of each of them (small handfull for Fat Lad!). I then brought SM out, undid the rug she came with (lightweight, ripped and ill fitting), and put on her new rug. She never batted an eyelid, even when the wind blew it over her head and she couldn't see!
I really wanted to wait to post pictures of her so there was a good before and after comparison, but couldn't resist this picture of her with a spring in her step and showing off her new coat
It humbles me to think that a three year old baby who is as skinny as a rake and has problem skin is so loving and gentle and accepting.
ETA: Her white sock looks a bit pink, as if bleeding but it is just the orangy colour of the mud round here
