sorry but i have to share this!
went showjumping on saturday and jumped the 1m class, was good and slightly better than last time as now at least we were going forwards! we decided not to go for the speed round as it was like jumping on grease and we didnt have any studs
also everyone was falling and the horses kept sliding into the fences and some actually fell over and were lucky not to fall on the riders
then on sunday we went xc schooling at an eventing ireland course - was brill! jumped everything and he didn't even look at anything. the coffins, the waters and the banks!
at the water he was brill - cos this one is a bit like a sheep dip, and very narrow with concrete walls either side of the jump in. he was fab! he jumped right in with no hesitation - now i cant wait for my first PN next sunday!
such a good feeling of riding an honest horse!
and last week we had our assessment for eventing and he flew everything that was asked!
we even jumped some complicated bounces and corners. and to finish i jumped him over VERY skinny fences as a double - he was brill!
to those who dont know me and my horse, ive really only had him from january and then he had a long virus that lasted about 4 months, and then he was away for a month whilst i rode and sold the pony! also hes done very little and literally spent last year in a field (hes only 6
