sooooo pleased with my boy!
well my horse is only 5 and hes such a baby - hes still green cross-country and dressage is coming on - we have an outline but we are just getting the consistency of this now.
I had to send my horse to an eventer because i was concentrating on the 14.2 because we were in dublin horse show and eventing, and hadnt the time to concentrate on both, esp as if i was jumping the 16.2 horse! then it would throw off my striding on the pony...
so the horse went to the eventer for a month, just to get some consistent work and fittening up and experience. well to finish the month off, he took the horse to the event at Dundalk today to do the pre-novice. this was his first event
when i saw him this morning he looked so well - hes now a dark bay/brown and has MUSCLES!!!!! lol the dressage was a lot better and the canter is really coming, yet he still was distracted in the free walk, but this is mainly due to lack of experience. he finished off with a score of 25.5!!
then he went clear in the showjumping. the cross country was big for a pre-novice, with three waters and the first fence was a bank! the 2nd was a ditch bank with a bounce on top through a hedge/brush thing! he just got better and better as the course went on, and he started to realise what he had to do! he got so brave through the waters, as previously he had tried to jump all the water on one
so we ended up on the score of 25.5 so will let you know how we turn up as results not up on site yet! cant wait till i have him home on mon so i can go and event him
