My two boys James and Ben had their riding lesson today, they have a lesson every other week as it works out so expensive for both of them to go every week.
Anyway it was just the two of them in the lesson and James, who is 8 rides a 14hh fell (my fave pony on the yard!), at last looked very relaxed in trot, and his position in trot has improved ten fold.
Ben, who is 7 rides a smaller pony, finally felt confident enough to go around the school in trot on his own....okay sometimes he had a sneaky hold of the saddle but when the instructor and I noticed we encouraged him to let go of the saddle.
They are coming on in leaps and bounds now and I am so happy that they really enjoy riding as in the past I have signed them up to do rugby and taekwondo and they lost interest very quickly.
I am so proud of my babies!
