Anyone that's seen my posts before probably understands that my little welsh a is a bit crazy .. Okay who am I kidding  she's absolutly bonkers :p

I've had her 3 years now and we've had so many ups and downs! The first day she arrived it was clear she had extreme seperation anxiety when she took one look at the fence, popped it and galloped straight up to the yard .. :o so had to change plans (she was going to be grass livery) and she then got her own stable which didn't work as she couldn't see any other horses from it and she had spasmodic colic as she was stressing herself out so much.
Luckily yo agreed to change my other mares stable and the feed room into 2 smaller stables with a partition so Myst could see Honey when she was in so that solved the colic issue but created a bigger problem with the seperation anxiety.
Slowly I began to realise she was very very highly strung and littlest things could set her off she never walked she pranced everywhere like an Arab on sugar cubes .. :o
Lunging her was like having a out of control motorbike on the end of the line and if honey even went out of her eyeline she threw the biggest tantrums I have ever seen!
Fast forward 2 years and she had got no better really she was lunging okay but due to me being very ill for a long time she put on weight and a flush of grass gave her acute laminitis.
She recovered surprisingly quickly and seemed to grow up during the box rest etc and stopped being such a drama queen over everything but she then had a slipping stifle due to the box rest and had to be lunged every day until the muscle had built back up. She lunged perfectly from the start listening and really wanting to work :) slowly she got fitter and back to being herself.
I started to teach her little tricks like bowing and backing up without touching her and slowly have been getting her used to being away from Honey.
But in the past few months she's made me really proud, she had the dentist last week and behaved perfectly, is coming in on her own for a groom, listening to me and really enjoying doing some trick training.
This afternoon I thought I'd try somthing new, while she was free in the field I asked her to trot on like when I'm lunging her and she did a few circuits round me then stopped when I asked her to :D she's not bolting at the field gate anymore, and she's happy to go for a wander around the farm without even a whinney to my other mare! And I'm finally seeing the pony i wanted 3 years ago :)

Sorry for the long gushy thread, just so proud of her she's like a completely different pony!
