Bless my little brother (less of the little, he is 19), he is not particularyly horsey, but does come and sort the horses out with me. A while ago he was learning to ride on my mates 17.3hh warmblood, but since he got sold he has settled for the odd ride on my 13.2hh (very funny to watch).

Its just so nice to see someone that just loves to care for them, he would sooner groom and fuss them for a good hour or so than ride (he has been offered the ride on something more his size). He was so chuffed today that he learnt how to lunge, he really is quite a natural at this sort of thing and all of the horses adore him too.

sorry im just babbling, just think people that would rather groom and feed than ride are few are far between esp people that have just started up

My OH is like that-he's been told he cannot ever ride again because of his bad back, but he is so good with Clyde. When the piebald one was on box rest, my OH mucked out the stable every day- he says I am pants at it. He always helps out and sometimes I think they have a mutual admiration thing going between them.

it is quite nice having someone around that likes to do the jobs you hate!. Although he does say the funniest things, he one told me that i could catch horsey aids by poo picking, i ROFL and when i finally stopped i lobbed a bit at him and told him to prove his theory!! how mature am i lol

My mum has been WONDERFUL since I got Chloe - she dedicates her entire Sunday to Chloe and I. She helps muckout, she brings carrots and fetches her in from the field with me, helps groom, and she is scared of horses, and is not in the slightest bit horsey!! But I am positive she is a PC mother in the making...at a show a while back she boomed across the warm up arene, 'KICK that bloody horse and SMACK him over that jump!!!!' She was trying to jump him for me hehe!
And today she asked me to teach her how to muck out. She has been brilliant since Chloe arrived, as I can't get the train up due to trainworks so it would take hours.

That so nice of your brother - wish mine was like that
