HI, This is my first ever post on here and although i did manage to do 4 BE events last year on day tickets have decided to take the plunge and affiliate properly this year. Was thinking of doing Tweseldown as did Munstead last year but would be good to hear peoples thoughts as to
whether i should do Munstead again or do Tweseldown ( have Xc schooled round Tweseldown plus also H/T so have been round both. Many thanks for your input

Tweseldown is exteremeyl well run, but this is the first year they're running intro so it's hard to know what to expect...their courses are usually on the big side...munstead is lovely aswell (i am biased as i won there last year!), but quite 'amateur'. Both are likely to be v busy, so whatever you decide, enter early!!

I asked this a while ago on here and general consensus was that Munstead was probably the slightly 'softer' option re the XC course so I'm heading there hopefully! I'll prob do Tweseldown Unaffil i April tho as there isn't anything else local that seems the logical next step after Munstead. I'm in exactly the same boat as you - was on tickets last year (only got in to Burnham Beeches) and have now affiliated! Quite excited already - going to the JT 90 at Wellington to brush up on our SJ in feb as well.

I'm going to do Tweseldown as my youngsters 1st intro, followed by Munstead. Both are lovely events, Munstead is perfect for 1st time out as not very up to height and nice quiet atmosphere. This is 1st year Tweseldown have run an intro so it is a little unknown but as there aren't ANY intros in south east in April i want to get a couple of early runs in so doing both. I expect they will both be very busy, so will have to think hard about using ballot stickers, i got balloted with a sticker from Munstead last year.

Munsted def easier. I ve done tweseldown intro (unaff) and a few of intro fences were same as pre novice.tweseldown def ask s more questions but it rides really nicely and id def go there again.

Hi Wilber,
Was very lucky to do Munstead, then Brightling Park , Chilham Castle(wow brilliant as like a mini Badminton!) and lastly did Firle, made different mistakes on all, mostly SJ as crap at that , too prissy haha . Thinking will most prob aim for Tweseldown as long as ned is fit enough which he should be.

HI Emma_C
Well good on you for affiliating too, its quite a big step but very exciting even though only doing the baby INTRO. We have gotta start somewhere eh? Have you put together a timetable of where and when you wanna compete? I have started, just tweeking a few things but i would really suggest Chilham Castle , did it last year , fences i would say are up to height with some good questions for rider more than horse , but its like a mini Badminton XC !!!Also dressage well away from SJ and XC so nothing to distract horse.
Good luck maybe see you on the circuit somewhere?!

Tweseldown's PN SJ is always up to height whereas Munstead is smaller I think, so it might be the same for Intro.

I love Tweseldown though - it's such a weird place!!
