Thats another one. Probably one a year up here in my part of Northern Scotland out of a population of 20 to 30 ponies and horses. RIP Sienna, the most beautiful yealing warmblood filly, perfect in every way and who only knew love and care in her short life, and who always made me smile when I saw her. Not mine, but I had a bond with her, when she was born and her mum wouldnt fee her I spent 8 hours getting her latched on. So so sad I hate grass sickness

That is terrible I am really sorry for that. They really do need to find a cause for it. It is the unknown that makes it so much harder

My friends horse died of grass sickness 2 weeks after foaling a few years back. Devastating disease...

Sorry to hear that - we've got one at Dick Vet School as we speak but luckily he should make a good recovery as he was caught early and has a mega mild case but I've lost 5 horses over the years to it (mostly Highlands I may add) and each one was so frustrating.
