Barneys always had seperation anxiety from my mum and whenever she used to leave him with me he used to be an absolute ****! I tried for over a year to be the only one to walk him/feed him etc but it didn't make a difference at all :(

He usually has his "tantrums" eg barking screaming wall of death around the living room doing as many naughty things as he can (stealing, chewing .. Peeing :o )

I started training him recently to do a few different things eg sit, lie down, paw, back. So obviously that's helped because ..

Last night my mum went up to London to stay overnight and he was absolutely perfect :D cannot fault him in anyway!! He didn't moan/bark/whine, he didn't chew anything up or steal anything and he managed to hold all his poo's/wee's in until this morning :D

Doesn't sound like much but im actually amazed and waiting for his perfect front to disappear ..

He's off out for a long walk now, he's earned it! :)

What a result. There is no doubt that training helps build a bond with a dog, and also helps them "grow up", and using their brains generally leads to a calmer dog. Enjoy your walk, sounds like you both deserve it.
