So the rumours are true....

''The law may not have stopped hunting dead in its tracks, but it has dealt it a mortal blow. It's a slow death, and a very sad one.''

I disagree entirely. The hunting community has had to adapt and certain things have changed slightly, however hunting most definitely continues, as does the support for it and increased paticipation in it.

Thank you LACS, we are doing very nicely.

I have no idea. What I do know is that there a number of reasons why hunts may close down - urbanisation etc.

What I also know is that I have been enjoying some very successful cub trailing.

I'm not afraid to state the truth so nobody shoot me down.

Its a well known fact that the Carmarthen have been in debt for some time, its nothing to do with the ban, thats just an excuse.

There's quite a difference between debts run up by yourself and those caused by grown men and women playing silly b*gger. In the event, it was the tax-payer - i.e. you and I - who paid for the pros' juvenile campaign against the LACS.

Why's the Carmarthen hunt in debt if hunting is still so popular? It isn't as if it's a high-cost area.

Worth every penny to see LACS cry like a beaten stephild.

Badger baiting has been banned but your colleagues still insist on organising these events. Ditto dog-fighting. And then people like you devote your life to promoting hunting deer with hounds. Personally I think we need people around to stop cruel sports.

But what I do could hardly be called cruel or a sport.

Even if you did think what I do is cruel which I very much doubt, surely you'd accept it would be crueller for me to shoot those deer?

Yes but I really don't have a problem paying extra for my stamps!

Why would running a pack of hounds down here cost anyless than in England? Just because its Wales doesn't make it any cheaper!

I don't know the ins and outs of why they are or how they came to be but then I don't feel its any of my business nor yours.

It does rather smack of opposing football fans, don't you think?

This whole pro - anti thing is so tribal.

It's a shame more people can't occupy the sensible middle ground like me.

I must admit that it looks like a hollow victory trying to claim that an organisation opposed to hunting will be around longer than hunting itself!

Yes but it won't be. Thats one hunt, that was in trouble before the ban anyway!
