I am still despondent without my Bootsie dog and hate not having a dog in the house. I have finally got a few other things sorted in life (nothing serious just technicalities really) and will soon be about to bgin the search for a dog again. I am 99% certain I am getting a spangle puppy most likely a cocker bitch. I always intended on getting a working spangle pup when Boots was a bit older so will continue with that plan. I am aware of all the rescues out there that need homes but call me selfish...I got badly burned by genetics with my last rescue and I could not bare to have it happened again. Post Mortem tests showed kidney issues with Boots that Vets are 99% certain were genetic. I will rescue again in the future but right now I want a health tested registered spangle baby who will hopefully become my first gundog. So I will hopefully soon to be joining the spangle clique...;-) Literally only about to start investigating litters and have a field trial judge over here sounding out a few breeders for me. So any spangle advice please send it my way....I grew up with Springers, have been involved with training them before and already have Cayla's fabulpous puppy guide which I have read about a thousand times. Will keep you posted on the search!

I can't imagine a dog free house so totally understand how you feel. Good luck with your search, even if it is early days. You won't get any criticism from me for not getting a rescue, I don't think I can be accused of not supporting rescues, but do sometimes feel a bit persecuted by some of the posts where people say they cannot understand anyone breeding/buying a puppy from a breeder etc. Everyone is surely entitled to a choice, the important thing is if someone does feel they want a puppy to make sure they find a decent responsible breeder. Sorry rant over, and keep us updated on the puppy search.
