For the first time ever! Dog is 8 now, and hasn't been particually itchy, but out of interest I thought I should do a quick sweep of her coat. Yep, there the little blighters are... so I've treated dog with powder, dog bed and living room carpet with spray, sprayed the back of the car and the door mat where she lays too. What am I missing? Do I do anything else?

Been an odd year for 'blighters', had an issue with dog getting ticks - first time for that too, couldn't go for a walk without picking up one.

Battled with the kids getting head lice, or battled with getting rid of them (no doubt they will return soon thanks to being back at school )

Now, FLEAS! Humfff

PS... are you itchy yet? ;):o:p

Spray the house with indorex spray - the eggs can lie waiting for a long time :( This stuff stops the eggs hatching :) I know what youre saying though we have had a right year of it with pests  We are now using advocate and advantage on the cats and dogs and the house has been sprayed - Touch wood we seem to be clear now x

Indorex is good. All your soft furnishings need spraying, so curtains, 3 piece suite, cushions etc. Dogs collar and lead if made of fabric/webbing. Dog towels.

Also, a favourite spot for fleas is the gap that you sometimes find between the skirting board and the floor or wall.....probably more so in older properties.

Oh, and if you have any cats.....do them too! They are often the culprits in the first place!
