I have a lovely little mare that I have had since a foal, she has competed at all unaffiliated disiplines and basically is a rosette magnet (usually red ones!!).
Anyway my issue is that I wanted to compete at a higher level, county shows etc so bought a new horse and found a sharer for my little mare, my sharer is brilliant but only really hacks at weekend and the odd funride.
Now bearing in mind my mare used to compete every weekend I really think she is missing going to events and her physical shape is changing

So.............do I look to put her on full loan( would never sell)to a pony club home so that she can go out competing again or do I accept I have a good sharer and actually hacking out on a weekend is ok?
also.....do people think horses get depressed............I took my mare to a little event last week( because I felt sorry for her in the field) and she was so excited!!!!!

Problem is other sharer only rides on weekends and that is when most of the shows are on!!!
I was thinking that I do have another horse and could offer that she helps me hack out him for free, money is tight for her so it may help her out financially and I could let he mare go out on full loan.
..................i just have to many horses and not enough time!!!
 
That sounds ideal. Does current sharer want to compete but not have funds/transport? Could you help by taking them to things you are going to anyway?

ETA do you think she missed competing per say, or time with you? Just a thought
