So, What is a pot hunter?

As i am not into showing, I am wondering what a pot hunter is? I saw a few people mention them on the judges comments thread.

I rarely go to shows, If i enter any they are charity/fund raising events.

I tend to avoid local shows as i find they're full of bitchiness, pushy mums and teenagers with too much make up. I sometimes go to watch a friend, But, i have no idea of any of the common terms etc used.. So, If someone could enlighten me?

A pothunter is someone who enters classes knowing they can win as they and their Horse are much more capable of entering a higher class. Example, a person regually jumps their Horse at 1.30M, when they go to a show they enter the 80cm class as they know they can win it, which will give them points and possible money. If they are capable of doing more then they should.

It can also be someone who competes to the detriment of their animals when they have already succeeded at a particular level. In dogs it would be someone who attends every show despite having a title.
