so who is off to equifest next weekend ?

*IF* mare not lame, we are competing.
Hope to get chance to look round, but I won't leave horse unattended at lorry, so though will be two of us, not too much fun looking round alone!
If mare lame still, may go for the look around anyway, though its quite a trek for us.

fingers and toes crossed she is sound ! ah yeah i can understand that :( Yes my family and our friend will be joining us as her fiance is a farmer and may be working over time at the moment so think she will end up coming wih us. If not both of them are meeting us there :)

Yes we are going and staying Tuesday to Saturday as our friends are competing as well. There are Haflinger classes for Oakley unlike in our area. Unfortunately daughter fell off him last week and damaged her shoulder so cannot compete. I'm the stand in for the in hand classes, bit scared as I've never done showing before. Still I'll give it my best shot. A friend's son will do the ridden class for us as my riding and confidence is not up to scratch, I'm really pleased as he is a cracking rider and Oakley goes really well for him.
Daughter will no doubt stand around issuing orders and tell me how rubbish I am :)

Ah we are going on the Saturday :) Cannot make it in the week sadly :( Parents working, goodluck im sure you will be fine even though daughter will be fretting over everything ...:D

Oh i forgot about the week duh ! Sounds like a good experience out of interest how did you apply ? might look into it next year when i am 18 :)
 
I have a friend that was already involved with it. I can PM you an email address, they can give you all the details.
I gave it a go because showing isn't really my thing, I'm more dressage and XC but it is really interesting to speak with the judges to find out what sort of things they look for when showing.
 
Sorry we won't get to meet Tessybear. I've really enjoyed reading about Tessy and Dolly. Thanks for your good wishes, I hope I do OK, just need to muster some confidence.

Oh yay how exciting! Yes will be the same one - I have made a note of your boy's facial markings haha! There are some pictures of my mare in my profile. We are going with another haflinger too :-) there are 11 in the class so quite a lot! Don't worry, it is only my second show since like 10 years ago and Freya's second ever!


Sadly I don't think we'll see you Tessybear as it is early on Friday morning - they like to put these haflinger classes really early - do they not know we have manes and tails to preen?!
