So who puts leg wraps on their horse in the stable?

I use them on the back legs of one of mine (thermatex ones) as he gets a bit stiff, cant put them on the front he eats them which is a pain.

Hehe, never heard of a horse eating their leg wraps! A friend of mine puts backs on her pony, as it had a tendon injury a couple of years ago.

When it was very cold, I did put them on my TB's legs as they were old girls who appreciated a bit of warmth when it was freezing.

My present horses, only on Stinky the night before a show to keep him clean. I don't need to worry about the warmth factor as they have natural "inbuilt" leg warmers.

I put leg wraps on Ella (fronts only) as she has arthritic knees, and I think it helps to stop her from getting too stiff overnight. I wanted posh Thermatex ones, but they were a bit out of my price range, so she has the Equilibrium ones, which are nice and practical, and do the job.

I put them on my big ned, he has normal wraps on front and magnet ones on back. He will eat them if he gets hot so only a winter thing.

I use the thermatex ones on Micah as he has such fine hair and not much of it. Only on nights like tonight when it is frosty tho

I use the Equichaps stable ones. Dry the legs nicely and stay put.

No, Daisy would eat them. She seems quite happy with naked legs, even when clipped out.

yep! mine have the thermatex cordura ones with premier equine magnetic pads underneath. def keeps them warmer and stops the older boys legs swelling.

Buzz wears the WWF pads with stable bandages over them they have been a life saver so far this winter and he's not been stiff at all since wearing them.

Use the Colin Cook Aerborn ones on our mare whose hind legs fill following an abcess under the chestnut, they work really well and have lasted ages.

I use them occasionally on my lad and they always stay on!

I bought some for Ruby, but she thinks I've fastened her to the spot and literally would'nt move in them! So not used them!

I use the thermatex ones, think they were £40 when i bought them 4 years ago but they have lasted so long. Her legs fill overnight and she is slightly arthritic and they really help.
